Let there be light .... I mean WHITE !

A quick progress post. Again, things are slow in terms of working on the boat. However, I did make some time between festivities !

I finally got to the coating stage of the interior ! Before that can happen .....

A fair bit of cleaning up had to take place. Some of the fillets were lumpy and needed to be smooth. Vacuuming the debris and dust in the cabin, vberth and cockpit areas. Seems to be a lot of cleanup duties to be had.

So, last night I started with the epoxy primer ! Working in that fore peak area is very tight. I might have to take another stab at that one once I am more limber. Hahaha

I was able to complete the whole fore peak and vberth area last night and I finished of the entire cabin including the 2 berths. I have masked off some areas that I want to leave showing the natural wood. These areas are going to be the aft side of Frame D1 bulkhead , the chain plate doubler plywood, galley cabinet and the nav station cabinet and desktop.

I feel that these will give nice accents to the interior. I think the sole plate covering the bilge will also be showing the wood grain. Time will tell.

Here are a couple of photos of the interior and also a couple of other photos that I found on the internet that have a couple of finishing ideas on boats similar to this one.
