All of the components for the interior are almost complete. I am building this boat by hand following the plans provided by Janusz so I have to cut and fit each piece to make sure it fits. Once the piece fits the way I want it to I then clean it up and get it ready for the first coat of epoxy. I have been putting two or three coats of epoxy on all pieces, it seems to really seal it up well. I would like to leave the whole interior with the natural wood showing however I feel it might make the boat quite dark and small looking inside so I will likely coat some of the components with a matte finish white. The interior is free for the builder to design what they want for the intended purpose. There are a few specifications to adhere to but for the most part it's up to you. Since there's not a lot of room in this boat so there really is only a few options. I have chose, which most people have as well, is to have a galley on the portside and the navigation area along with the DC electrical panel on the starboard side of the forward cabin area. As I mentioned in my last update, I have ran all of the wiring, the drains for the watertight compartments in the cabin already, along with the suction pipes for the emergency pumps. There will be a few things to complete later on, for example a through hull for a freshwater pump in the galley, the bunk seat backs, and the cabin sole will have to be fitted.
Before I start on the deck planking I need to fit one more pine deck support which will be at the forward end of the observation pod. Moving forward ! Wahoo !
Here are a few photos of some of the components that have been coated. And the cabinets inside the cabin.
